  • The original Apple hard drive went into an inexpensive enclosure and lo! data poured forth. I have all the important data pulled off the drive onto a USB stick; still need to pull a couple of files I missed, but they are still there! Tax refund present next year should be a new Apple.

  • August was extremely stressful at work, which led to a flare-up in my blood sugars, which has pulled me into survival mode. So nothing much is getting done outside of work, school and doctors visits. The good news: I'm finally on the road to getting the sugars under control, which will do wonders for my energy levels.

  • It's a terrible time to do it, but I am looking for a new job anyway. And feeling guilt about it. But I can't stay where I am any longer. My health depends on reducing stress.

  • I will once again be the Town Crier at AZ Renaissance Festival!

  • I am learning to play the guitar, and my music-reading is improving. I'm taking a guitar course at Glendale Community College, which is interesting: Most of the course is Classical guitar, which gets us good fundamentals and teaches us to read music and play. Then at the end of each session, we do chords and things which apply to playing modern music. Last night, we ended up playing around with "Hey Jude". Very cool. And I'm applying stuff I'm learning in guitar class to the mandolin and cittern as well.
