...when one's first pair of bifocals and one's first AARP card arrive within 24 hours. I'm not sending AARP the ten bucks just yet because they misspelled my name, and I only just turned 48. I think they're trying to ease me into the AARP thing; maybe I can ease them into spelling my name right. There's time.

Oh, and my car hit 99,000 miles just half an hour ago. But I'm pretty sure that was mere coincidence.

I thought I replied to this, sorry.

American Association of Retired Persons. They'll send you something right around your 48th birthday (so you get used to the idea I suppose). You're eligible to join at age 50.
